Peterborough Children in Care Council

Back to Activities

The Children in Care Council is a group for young people in care aged 12 and over who represent all children in care. They discuss issues raised by young people, create their own projects and campaigns, and help improve services. They also help organise fun events and activities!

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • You can share your views and know you are listened to
  • You can meet and do fun activities with other young people
  • You can make a difference!

Being on the Children in Care Council lets you work and campaign on issues important to you, tell Senior Managers and Councillors what needs to be done to improve services, and help organise fun activities and events.

If you’re age 12-19 in care from Peterborough and want to raise an issue that you feel is important, please get in touch!

It is free to be part of the Children in Care Council.
