Safe Soulmates

Back to Activities

Safe Soulmates' purpose is to end loneliness for neurodivergent and disabled adults by facilitating a fun social life where friendships and relationships can develop in a safe way. Meet-ups take place in person and online.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • It helps to reduce social isolation
  • It helps to reduce loneliness
  • It helps people build friendships and perhaps find love

‘Safe Soulmates has given me lots of self confidence, self esteem and allowed me to be my true self.’

Find out about Safe Soulmates:

What to expect?

Safe Soulmates is a safe community, bringing together adults with additional needs (learning disabilities, autism, anxiety and other things that have made socialising challenging) together, giving you a space to build trusting friendships, socialise in a positive space, find others that you can connect with, and embrace being yourself.

Led by members, Safe Soulmates run socials in person and online, including: new members, Quiz, Keep fit, gaming, Women only, Relationship Workshops with Dhiverse, Poets in mental wellbeing, a cinema club, and more.

If you would like to apply to join, please email, text, call them or complete the contact form and they will contact you to tell you more. They will arrange to talk to you on the phone, email, text or via Zoom when you are ready. You can have someone with you when you talk to them.

More information

Safe Soulmate is part of the Supported Loving network run by Choice Support, a national charity supporting people with autism, learning disabilities and mental health needs, regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

If you do meet a romantic partner (though they can’t guarantee this), they support this to develop in safe way by chaperoning dates (initially where needed) and offering tailored advice with the help of Dhiverse.

In addition to their website and social media pages, you can also visit their LinkedIn page.
